Tyler is easily the most put-together and well-adjusted boy of the bunch. He’s about three years from being cool, cares a lot about people (i.e. not-cool kids like Kevin, Shope and the Roach) and just can’t stand the judgmental school populars.
Kevin is the product of a dysfunctional home so maybe that’s why he’s always trying to prove his bravery and looking for some male bonding. With no older or younger siblings and a checked-out Dad, Kevin looks to his friends for manly experiences, and somebody to talk to.
Jennifer or “Shope” as the boys call her is a super smart and super logical 7th grader who grew up on the same street as the boys, consistently beat them at all their “boy” games and somehow intimidates everyone else around her except the boys.
A year younger than the other boys, calling Teddy a dorky-misguided-woog-womp would basically be a compliment. Legendary since kindergarten for his overall unkempt appearance, Roach has been an outcast since he can remember. But it wasn’t until he was defended by Kevin and Tyler when a bully was picking on him that his fortunes turned around.
The tidy one, he was forced into service by his Dad who is legendary in the Benevolent Alliance. He thought it would be a good chance to “see the Universe”. Now he’s stuck on a backwards-ass planet training four nerds to fight the Virus, which he thought he was outrunning.
The sloppy one, he’s not the smartest bulb in the bunch, but he’s definitely the strongest which is probably why he blasted the wrong dudes. “They looked bad-ass.” Zen is a protein devouring Jarheard - think a slow Schwarzenegger with a little confusing Stallone thrown in.
