Although Bumblebee may be completely “no-nonsense” in the field when he’s up against the baddest of the bad, once he’s back on Earth we’ll see his mettle tested by his underlings. And while the members of the Bumblebee’s Earth-based squad may be loose cannons, they will eventually learn to be in this together and apply their talents to the cause of good.
After nobly sacrificing himself to bring life back to Cybertron, Optimus Prime finds himself stuck in a mysterious ethereal realm. Mustering up his remaining power, Optimus sends messages from this otherworldly dimension to inspire and guide Bumblebee on his path to being a great leader.
Sideswipe is somewhat of a lone wolf, he feels he needs to look out for himself first and wishes Strongarm would cut him a break with all her rules and regulations – but when push comes to shove, he heeds the call to action. Sideswipe is cool under pressure and quick with his words and hands. He’s all about getting the drop on his opponent, and looks cool doing it.
Grimlock is the strongest of the new Autobot group. He was unjustly imprisoned eons ago for his looks and not his deeds. Grimlock can be a tad gullible, a little too clumsy, AND then there’s the teeny-tiny detail that a “T-Rex” isn’t exactly the most discreet disguise for an alien 'Bot on Earth.
The enthusiastic, hyperactive, MINI-CON mans the tech and provides maintenance for the new Autobot base. Fix-It is equal parts mechanic/I.T./mascot, and archivist of the “Most Wanted” dossiers – he was the pilot of the The Alchemor, that crash landed on Earth, and is thus intimate with its former inhabitants, and their crimes.
Strongarm is very dedicated to her career in law enforcement and can’t imagine a world RULES. Strongarm is completely earnest and possesses a world view devoid of shades of grey. Exposing Strongarm to any criminal behavior instantly flips the switch that activates her righteous sense of justice.
The wolf-like Decepticon known as Steeljaw was a prisoner aboard the Alchemor that launched into space years ago. He is as charismatic and intelligent as he can be savage. Steeljaw is a born leader, who can effortlessly recruit others to his side. On Cybertron, Steeljaw encouraged revolt against the standing leadership, because Steeljaw wanted power – and glory – for himself.
This pit-bull-like Decepticon was a prisoner aboard the Alchemor. Underbite’s crime: having physically eaten and entire Cybertronian city. Underbite’s physical prowess grows and multiplies every time he consumes metal. He’s cocky, loves noticing his increase in size and strength when he consumes metal and loves talking about hoe he was imprisoned for having eaten an entire city.
Denny is the 40-something proud owner of the vast scrapyard that will become home to our Autobots. Denny is a big kid at heart with loads of child-like enthusiasm. His off-the-wall thoughts and creations often lead our ‘Bots to a solid-enough plan. Now that Team Bumblebee has moved in, store hours become “By Appointment Only.”
Unable to wait until he graduates middle school, Russell’s at the awkward age where he’s trying a little too hard to leave childhood behind and act older/cooler than he actually is. The ‘Bots must depend on Russell to become their “native guide” when they’re needed on a mission – “in disguise,” of course. If Denny’s wild ideas are too out there for the ‘Bots, Russ will ground them with practicality.
